Job summary

UST in India is hiring a Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation) with 6+ years of experience to design and execute test plans for enterprise web applications.

You will develop and maintain automation frameworks using TestNG/JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript), and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Strong SDLC/STLC knowledge and API testing are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Strong SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum knowledge.
• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver (Java/.NET).
• Strong experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Experience using Katalon Studio.
• Java with exposure to TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience building automation frameworks (TestNG/JUnit, POM, Data-Driven, Hybrid, Keyword-Driven).
• Manual testing across Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, UAT, End-to-End.
• Experience testing Enterprise Web Apps, Distributed Systems, eCommerce, REST/SOAP, data/integration, SOA.
• API testing with Postman/REST Assured; DB/SQL validation.
• Defect/test management tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail.
• Version control: Git/GitHub/Bitbucket.
• CI/CD integration with Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions/Harness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to create effective test strategies.
• Develop test plans, scenarios, and detailed test cases.
• Estimate testing effort and risks.
• Execute manual and automated tests.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks.
• Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, System, API, UI, and End-to-End testing.
• Prepare and validate test data across environments.
• Log, track, verify, and resolve defects with Dev teams.
• Execute REST API and backend validation testing.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor testing progress and communicate quality metrics and release readiness.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Developers, PMs, and Production Support.
