Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced SDET Automation engineer in India to design and implement automated tests across functional, integration, performance, and regression suites. The role requires strong Java, TestNG, and API testing skills, with AWS exposure and SQL knowledge.

You will build scalable automation frameworks, maintain testing infrastructure across environments, monitor results, log defects, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver high-quality software on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years overall software testing and SDET experience.
• Strong Java with TestNG and API testing abilities.
• Experience with AWS, relational databases and SQL queries.

Role Description

The SDET Automation resource will design and write automated scripts for functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, end to end, and/or regression testing. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring results, logging defects, and validation of defect fixes. In addition, she/he will be responsible for creating a robust automation framework ensuring scalability and reusability, and for maintaining a testing infrastructure that can be applied to multiple environments. The engineer will collaborate with different teams, leverage all existing scripts where possible and assist with the creation of common test environments for all applications. Overall experience of 5-8yrs Ability to excel in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. 2+ years of experience as a SDET or SW Engineer Ability to function independently meet tight deadlines. Ability to understand business concepts and interpret global business partner requests and requirements. Strong sense of urgency and desire to see solutions implemented in a timely manner. Requires strong skills and hands-on project experience in TestNG framework and Java (Mandatory) , Spring Boot(Good to have) Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Experience with Object Oriented Programming. Experience working in an env that leverages AWS and Gitlab. Experience in an Agile Development Environment. Experience building/using relational databases and writing advanced queries, especially SQL. Experience with version control. Functional knowledge of security risks and solutions within web development. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Ability to function independently and meet tight deadlines. Ability to understand business concepts and interpret global business partner requests and requirements. Strong sense of urgency and desire to see solutions implemented expediently.
