Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer with OpenShift expertise in Bengaluru. You will own Infrastructure-as-Code across virtualization, HCI, and container platforms, delivering modular, auditable automation. Proficiency with Ansible, Puppet and scripting is essential for an impactful customer-facing role.

The role requires strong communication, cloud and automation skills, and the ability to implement guardrails, observability, and patch workflows across large estates.

Qualifications

• BTec/BE/MCA/MTech educational qualifications.
• Experience in DevOps with IaaC across virtualization, HCI, container platforms.
• OpenShift experience is preferred and customer-facing communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Own Infrastructure-as-Code across virtualization, HCI, container platforms with reusable modules.
• Use Ansible, Puppet, FTP Jobs, Shell in Linux environments.
• Modify templates/scripts to fulfill requests and automate changes.
• Replace manual changes with repeatable, auditable automation.
• Embed guardrails: secrets management, policy-as-code, automated compliance.
• Automate observability, capacity, and patch/upgrade workflows.
• Work with Terraform and Ansible as core IaC tools.
• Develop automation scripts: Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Puppet.
• Maintain strong customer-facing communication.

Role Description

UST is looking for for an experienced Devops engineer with Open shift experience.

The Opportunity

Exp- 8 +yrs

• Own Infrastructure-as-Code across our virtualization, HCI, and container platforms — reusable, versioned modules for provisioning and configuration.
• Ansible, Puppet, FTP Jobs, Shell in a Linux environment.
• The customer has a large repository of templates/scripts that can be modified/updated to fulfill requests.
• Replace manual, console-driven changes with repeatable, auditable automation.
• Embed guardrails — secrets management, policy-as-code, and automated compliance and security checks.
• Automate observability, capacity, and patch/upgrade workflows across the estate.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, Ansible
• Automation & scripting: Ansible, PowerShell / Power CLI, Python, Bash, Puppet
• Excellent in communication as this is a customer facing role.
