Role Description
We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot/Micronaut, and Kafka-based event-driven architectures, with a passion for building reliable and resilient distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
- Build and enhance microservices using Spring Boot or Micronaut.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless system integration.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Strong proficiency in Core Java, Collections, Multithreading, and JVM concepts.
- Solid experience with Spring Boot and/or Micronaut frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture patterns.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous messaging.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
