• Familiarity with React Testing Library and serverless/container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Summary

UST is looking for a Full Stack Developer with 8-10 years of professional software development experience, specializing in Node.js and React. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture, design, and development of modern web applications while providing technical leadership to engineering teams. This role requires the ability to work independently on complex legacy JavaScript codebases, quickly understand existing systems, and deliver high-quality solutions within aggressive timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of modern web applications using Node.js and React.
• Work independently on complex legacy JavaScript codebases.
• Understand existing code quickly and contribute immediately, given the time-sensitive nature of deliverables.
• Drive best practices in code quality, unit testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and maintainability.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Utilize experience or familiarity with Java technologies such as Groovy.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions. Contribute to strategic planning, technical roadmaps, and architectural decisions.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Accurately estimate effort and task complexity, ensuring timely delivery in aggressive timelines.
• Proactively escalate blockers and collaborate to resolve critical issues. Leverage GitHub Copilot or similar AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and accelerate development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8-10 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Node.js and React.
• Expertise in JavaScript, including deep understanding of complex, large-scale JavaScript codebases.
• Experience working with XML data structures.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, Oracle/RDBMS, and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of front-end performance optimization and responsive design principles. Proficiency with modern development tools and practices, including Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Exposure to database technologies including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as React Testing Library.
• Experience with serverless architectures and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
