Qualifications

• 5+ years’ studio, agency or in‑house design experience and ability to lead or mentor designers.
• Standout portfolio showing creative judgement, originality and typography craft.
• Confidence owning complex design projects end‑to‑end while balancing priorities.
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills and current understanding of generative AI in creative workflows.
• Strong communication to present ideas and give clear feedback.
• Curiosity to explore AI capability and test new tools.

Are you an experienced designer ready to lead a talented creative team, raise the quality of design delivery and help shape the future of a global studio? Do you combine strong creative judgement with the curiosity and confidence to explore how AI can enhance creative thinking, production and performance?

We’re looking for a Lead Graphic Designer to lead our fast-growing Creative Studio in Mumbai, India, producing compelling, high-quality design for a global business working at the forefront of consumer and sensory research.

As Lead Graphic Designer, you’ll take day-to-day responsibility for the creative output and development of a four-person design team. Reporting into the Head of Motion and Design, you’ll combine hands‑on design expertise with people leadership, workflow management and quality control. You’ll collaborate with researchers, marketers and senior stakeholders to turn strategic ideas into compelling, on-brand creative work, while helping the studio build its AI capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead & develop designers — Lead and develop a team of five designers through regular coaching, feedback and clear, motivating objectives.
• Resource & workflow planning — Plan resource, prioritise briefs and manage workloads to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.
• Creative & AI expertise — Bring strong Adobe Suite skills and hands‑on experience in creative development within the AI space.
• Creative standards — Set and uphold a consistently high creative standard across presentations, campaigns, events, digital content and brand communications.
• Hands‑on project ownership — Stay hands‑on across priority projects, from interpreting briefs and developing concepts through to final delivery.
• Creative direction — Review work, provide clear direction and ensure brand consistency, attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Process improvement — Partner with the Head of Design and global stakeholders to enhance studio processes, tools and ways of working.
• AI integration — Build practical AI use across the team through experimentation, shared learning and opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
• Team culture building — Create a positive, accountable and collaborative team culture that supports individual growth and high performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Design leadership — 5+ years’ studio, agency or in‑house design experience, with proven ability to lead or mentor designers and manage performance.
• Creative excellence — A standout portfolio showing creative judgement, originality, versatility, strong layout skills and typographic craft.
• Project ownership — Confidence owning complex design projects end‑to‑end, balancing hands‑on design with leadership and multiple priorities.
• Technical expertise — Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and a strong, current understanding of generative AI in creative workflows.
• Stakeholder communication — Strong communication skills with the confidence to present ideas, challenge constructively and give clear, actionable feedback.
