Job summary

Optum India is seeking a senior full‑stack engineer to help build scalable applications using Python and React or Angular. You will own design, development, CI/CD, observability, security, and production support, with hands‑on work in Git, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes and Azure.

You will design APIs, work with SQL/NoSQL, implement AI orchestration, and collaborate with global teams on delivery. A Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience are required; strong in DevSecOps and cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of full‑stack engineering experience.
• Hands‑on proficiency with Python and React or Angular in production environments.
• Experience deploying cloud apps on Azure with containerized architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and building scalable, secure products.
• Familiarity with AI, AI orchestration, RAG, GenAI, and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production‑grade AI and agentic AI solutions, including LLM orchestration, RAG, tool calling, workflows, and evaluation
• Own solution design through development, testing, CI/CD deployment, observability, security, and production support
• Develop APIs, backend services, and data solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases
• Deploy cloud‑native applications on Azure, leveraging Container Apps, AKS, Application Gateway, Log Analytics, networking, and Key Vault
• Build robust monitoring, logging, alerting, performance, reliability, and security controls
• Use AI engineering tools to improve developer productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation
• Partner with global, cross‑functional teams and independently lead assigned technical deliveries

Primary Responsibilities

• Build scalable full-stack applications using Python and React or Angular
• Design and deliver production‑grade AI and agentic AI solutions, including LLM orchestration, RAG, tool calling, workflows, and evaluation
• Own solution design through development, testing, CI/CD deployment, observability, security, and production support
• Develop APIs, backend services, and data solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of full‑stack engineering experience
• 5+ years building and supporting production‑grade applications
• Hands‑on experience with Git, CI/CD, cloud deployment, and Azure
• Experience with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes and DevSecOps
• Solid Python and React or Angular expertise
• Solid SQL and NoSQL database experience
• Knowledge of AI, AI orchestration, RAG, GenAI, etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of secure, scalable, observable, high‑performance product engineering
• Proven ownership of delivery, production support, and issue resolution in a global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's/master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution
• Experience in product companies or customer‑facing platforms
• Knowledge of Python (FSD), React, Azure, Architecture, CICD, Containerization, Kubernetes, etc.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK or similar frameworks
