Two Circles is a data‑driven sports‑marketing agency that partners with over 400 sports properties to enhance fan engagement and drive revenue growth. Roles and Responsibilities

Position/Title: Lead Frontend Engineer

Department: Software Development

Location: Remote with presence in our office for 2 days a week and occasional travel to London and EMEA offices.

Job Summary

As a Lead Frontend Engineer at Two Circles, you will shape the future of sports through technology, leading the frontend architecture and technical direction of key projects, influencing decision‑making at a strategic level, and mentoring a growing team of engineers. You will collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Product teams and client stakeholders to bring engaging and high‑performance digital experiences across web platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, reusable code following best practices while helping define coding standards and team conventions.
• Advocate for developer experience and continually improve it.
• Encourage a blameless culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Lead and influence the technical design, architecture and development of digital projects.
• Work closely with Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads and Product Managers to understand problems and define technical scope for global sports properties.
• Set up software development frameworks for release management, automation, code quality and source control.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to other Two Circles engineers.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years experience in software engineering.
• High level of proficiency in TypeScript, React and Next.js with experience in Node.js desirable.
• Experience in a CI/CD environment using tools such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Appreciation of DevOps and platform engineering culture; ability to build and ship using cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Experience in agile development, continuous integration and test automation (unit, integration, contract and E2E).
• Strong experience observing application performance and health with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog, Sentry.
• Strong desire and advocacy for performant applications.
• Proactive problem‑solving with pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain solutions to diverse audiences and collaborate effectively.
• Experience building services for high‑traffic systems is desirable.
