Job Description

As part of our exciting growth journey, we’re expanding our Software Engineering team and are on the lookout for a talented Back End Engineer to join us on a hybrid basis at our Hyderabad office.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer who is passionate about developer experience and building high-quality digital products for global sports properties. You will work closely with senior engineers, engineering managers, and product managers to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow technically, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Presence in our Hyderabad office for 3 days a week is encouraged, with occasional travel to other offices in London and EMEA when required.

Responsibilities

Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following established best practices and team standards.
Be an advocate for developer experience, actively contributing ideas to improve tools, workflows, and processes.
Contribute to a blameless culture that encourages learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support the design and development of digital projects under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads.
Work closely with Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads, and Product Managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Assist in setting up and improving software development practices, including release processes, automation, code quality checks, and source control.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team ceremonies.
Learn from and collaborate with other Two Circles engineers, contributing positively to team knowledge sharing.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, particularly within sports technology.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in software engineering or a related role.
Strong desire to learn, improve, and grow as an engineer.
Working knowledge of databases, including:

Document-oriented databases (e.g., MongoDB)
Relational databases (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL)

Basic understanding of software architecture concepts and common design patterns.
Interest in DevOps and platform engineering practices—curiosity about how software is built, deployed, and maintained.
Ability to solve problems pragmatically and communicate solutions clearly.
Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
