Job summary

PTC is seeking a Lead Forward Deployment Engineer to design and implement enterprise integrations, automation, and cloud-based solutions that raise operational efficiency.

You will partner with business stakeholders and engineering teams, lead CI/CD, secure integrations, and mentor engineers while applying REST, Python, Azure, Salesforce, and ServiceNow capabilities to deliver scalable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in software engineering, enterprise integration, automation or related consulting.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth, API authentication, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on with Python, Apache Airflow, Selenium/Playwright.
• Strong DB knowledge: MySQL, Oracle, SQL development/optimization.
• Azure Cloud and Azure Key Vault knowledge.
• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD, Git/Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and ServiceNow integrations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

We are seeking an Lead Forward Deployment Engineer to join our Business Systems team. In this role, you will design, develop, implement, and support business process automation, system integrations, workflow orchestration, and innovative technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. You will work directly with business stakeholders, customers, product teams, and engineering teams to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and deliver scalable solutions through integrations, automation, cloud technologies, and custom applications.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, customer-facing experience, problem-solving ability, and a passion for innovation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technical teams to understand challenges, gather requirements, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend scalable technology solutions.
• Design, develop, and support enterprise integrations across internal systems, cloud platforms, databases, Salesforce, ServiceNow, third-party applications, and APIs.
• Drive automation and process optimization initiatives by identifying manual or repetitive activities and implementing workflow orchestration and automation solutions.
• Develop innovative technology solutions that improve productivity, operational efficiency, system reliability, and data accessibility.
• Lead technical delivery activities including application development, solution architecture, cloud services, secure integrations, CI/CD implementation, and production support.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, stakeholder collaboration, technology evaluations, solution reviews, and promotion of engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Enterprise Integration, Automation, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Consulting.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, OAuth, API Authentication, and Integration Patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Apache Airflow and Selenium/Playwright
• Strong database knowledge in MySQL, Oracle, and SQL development/optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines, and Git/Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and ServiceNow platforms and their integration capabilities.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with business and technical stakeholders to identify challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong learning agility with the ability to quickly adopt new technologies, platforms, and tools.
• Enterprise application integrations and cloud-native architectures.
• Exposure to AI-enabled automation and productivity solutions (copilot)
• Agile/Scrum and SDLC best practices.
