Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Hyderabad, India is seeking a Lead Data Engineer / Associate Manager to build and scale modern data platforms that empower business and scientific innovation. You will lead data engineering initiatives, mentor teams, and deliver robust data pipelines using cloud technologies.

Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers, stewards and business stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes. The role demands strong SQL, Python, PySpark and experience with Databricks, dbt and CI/CD

You bring:

• 6-8 years of experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines and data platforms.


• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, dbt, Databricks, Git, and Azure DevOps.


• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), CI/CD implementation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.


• Proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable, and well-documented solutions with strong testing and automation practices.


• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


• Demonstrated leadership experience in team management, project delivery, and driving technical excellence; exposure to scientific datasets, FAIR principles, or data governance is a plus.
