Job description

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Lead Timber Detailer / Senior BIM Modeler to Lead our Detailing Team, Delivering Detailed 3D Models, Fabrication Drawings, and Construction Documentation for Timber Structures projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones with a thorough understanding of Timber Construction Practices and Standards

Role & responsibilities

• Advanced proficiency in MWF includes wall/floor/roof assemblies, automated framing rules, and shop drawing generation. Proficiency in MWF (Metal Wood Framer) for Autodesk Revit is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit as the core BIM platform.
• Strong understanding of timber construction methods, materials (engineered timber, softwood/hardwood framing, CLT, glulam, LVL, I-joists), and connection systems commonly used in Timber Construction.
• Experience working in a timber frame, mass timber, or prefabrication environment within the European market.
• Ability to read and interpret Structural and Architectural Drawings and Specifications.
• Experience with CNC file output for automated timber fabrication (e.g., BTL, BVX formats).
• Awareness of CE marking requirements for structural timber products under the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
• Familiarity with BIM processes, IFC exchange, and collaborative model environments (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, Trimble Connect)
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free deliverables.
• Provide Technical Guidance to Junior Engineers and BIM modelers in the team.
• Ensure compliance with IGERs Quality Management Procedures.
• Deliver projects on time, quality and budget.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering/architecture, with a focus on Timber Structures.
• At least 8 years of experience in designing and Delivering in Timber Construction Works using Revit and MWF for modeling and drawings production.
• Understanding European fire safety regulations (e.g., EN 13501 fire classification), acoustic performance standards, and thermal/energy efficiency requirements (e.g., Passive House / nZEB standards).
• Knowledge of relevant European Building Codes and Timber Design Standards, i.e., Euro Codes.
• Must have experience with projects from Europe or USA in Residential and Commercial projects.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills are essential.
• Excellent leadership and team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative skills with clients, stakeholders, project management, and design teams
