We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Individual Contributor to join our team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our Network Operating System (NOS), from initial bring-up on new hardware platforms to the development and sustenance of advanced networking features. You will be a hands-on technical expert, working on the core of our networking stack and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, robust, and scalable solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of NOS software, from bring-up on new hardware to development and sustenance of networking features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, robust, and scalable networking solutions.
• Contribute as an hands-on technical expert at the core of the networking stack.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an Individual Contributor in a networking domain.
• Programming Languages: C, C++, Python, and GoLang.
• Networking Expertise: In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP); experience with MPLS, VXLAN, and QoS.
• Management Protocols: Strong understanding and practical experience with network management protocols and APIs (SNMP, NETCONF/YANG, REST, gNMI, gRPC).
• ASICs: Experience with network processor units (NPUs) from Broadcom (XGS/DNX family).
• NOS Experience: Prior experience in Network Operating System (NOS) development or sustenance; experience with SONiC NOS is an advantage.
• Soft Skills: Excellent collaboration, strong written and verbal communication, and ability to work with multiple functional teams and customer-facing organizations.
• Location: This position is based at our Chennai facility, focusing on core SDK/NOS development.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or data.
• Occasional travel may be required.
