Job summary

Experion is seeking a senior Python developer with 6+ years of experience to design and deliver microservices-based applications using Django or Flask. The role requires strong unit testing, DevOps mindset, and familiarity with AWS or Azure APIs.

You will contribute to scalable backend services, ensure code quality, and participate in agile practices and code reviews. The ideal candidate writes modular, maintainable code, understands relational and NoSQL databases, and collaborates across teams

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience in designing and developing microservices-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of Django or Flask frameworks.
• Experience with unit testing using Pytest or similar.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure APIs and DevOps practices.
• Proficient in code versioning (Git, SVN).
• Ability to write modular, clean, well-documented code.

Responsibilities

• Take senior/lead engineer role to manage tasks in a sprint and review code.
• Write clean, well-designed code and translate user stories into technical specs.
• Follow modern agile processes including TDD-based unit testing.
• Develop and maintain core product software and databases.
• Work across the full product development cycle from planning to production.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and participate in code/design reviews.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Good hands-on knowledge in Django or Flask.

Experience in designing & developing Microservices based applications, Unit testing using Pytest or similar, DevOps and Agile practices, Code Reviews.

Good development experience of at least 6+ years in Python + one amongst .NET, NodeJS, Angular technologies

Ability to write code in an efficiently structured and modularized manner.

Good Understanding of one of the frameworks - Flask, Django etc.

Experience with integrating code with Databases, front end application etc.

Knowledge on various databases - such as MySQL, MariaDB and working experience on integrations with NoSQL databases as well.

Working experience on templating languages such as Jinja2.

Experience on working with AWS, Azure APIs (Python) is an additional good to have skill.

Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas

Good understanding of code versioning (Git, SVN etc.)

Nice to have: Working experience in DevOps

Participate in the full product development cycle, including brainstorming, release planning and estimation, implementing and iterating on code, coordinating with internal and external clients, internal code and design reviews, MVP and production releases, quality assurance, and product support.
