Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications using Django, Flask, or FastAPI. You will build RESTful and asynchronous APIs, design microservices, and integrate with databases and message queues.

You will optimize performance, participate in CI/CD with Docker/Kubernetes on AWS/Azure/GCP, write tests with pytest, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant software throughout its lifecycle.

Job description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications, services, and backend components using frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

API & Microservices Engineering:

Build RESTful and asynchronous APIs, design microservices architectures, and integrate with internal/external systems and databases.

Data Handling & Processing:

Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues, and data pipelines; implement ETL workflows and ensure high data quality.

Performance & Optimization:

Optimize application performance, memory usage, and execution speed; profile code and resolve bottlenecks.

Cloud & DevOps Integration:

Deploy and operate applications on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), integrating CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Testing & Debugging:

Write robust unit/integration tests (pytest/unittest), debug complex issues, and support QA/UAT and production deployments.

Collaboration:

Partner with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Security & Compliance:

Implement secure coding practices, handle authentication/authorization, and ensure application compliance with standards.

Lifecycle Management:

Manage versioning, releases, observability, and maintain applications throughout their lifecycle.

Documentation:

Produce clear technical documentation, API references, and user guides for developers and stakeholders.
