Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced electrical systems professional in Chennai with 7-10 years in EV/EVSE domains. You will review EVSE/WBC circuits, support diagnostics, and collaborate with core design teams to realize features with quality, cost, and time constraints.

You will validate components with test cases at both component and vehicle levels, work on BOM details, and apply DFMEA and design-review methodologies to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech Electrical Engineering or BE/BTech Electrical and Electronics Engineering or BE/BTech Automobile Engineering; ME/MTech Power Electronics preferred
• 7-10 years of experience in automotive/electrical domains, EV/EVSE knowledge desirable
• Experience in design reviews, DFMEA and project management
• Awareness of EVSE/WBC systems and CAN matrix of ECUs

Responsibilities

• Review EVSE, WBC circuits and EV/EVSE diagnostics
• Collaborate with design and integration teams for feature realization with quality, cost and time focus
• Validate components with test cases at component and vehicle levels
• Propose cost-effective solutions via IMCR/VAVE activities
• Work with BOM details and vehicle electrical interfaces
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and use of quality tools
• Proficient in MS Office applications like Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• To have fair knowledge on power train system including the base knowledge of electric vehicle and associated systems like electrical vehicle supply equipement (EVSE), Wall box chargers (WBC).
• To review the circuit for EVSE, WBC and to have knowledge on Diagnostics system management of EVSE,WBC and to have knowledge on OCPP.
• Base level integration with CFT & design engineers for system integration to realise the required EVSE,WBC feature with Quality , Cost and Time.
• Validating the components by taking support in making proper test cases in both component and vehicle level so as to give issue free product to customer
• To have knowledge on CAN matrix of ECU
• To work to bring out some cost effective solution thro IMCR/VAVE activities.
• Should have knowledge on working of BOM details of components.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of Quality tools, DFMEA,Design Reviews & Project management
• Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.

Experience

• 7 - 10 years

Industry Preferred

• Any other OEM in electrical domain, Tier 1 suppliers (for EV specific systems)

• Specialized, Technical Good knowledge on vehicle electrical system and interfacing parts.
• Maintaining quality level targets as per agreement
