Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control engineer for pharma/biotech facility projects in India. You will design and engineer DCS/PLC/SCADA systems, select instruments and control valves, and oversee FAT/SAT and commissioning to meet regulatory standards.

You should have 12+ years in pharma/Life Science/chemical projects, with BAS/EMS knowledge and strong procurement experience. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• BTech/BSc in Instrumentation & Control.
• 12+ years of experience in pharma/Life Science/ chemical projects.

Responsibilities

• Design instrumentation and automation for pharma/Life Science facilities.
• Perform detailed instrument engineering activities for industrial projects (FMCG & chemical).
• Handle procurement, enquiry specs, quotes, TRs and vendor drawings reviews.
• Oversee FAT/SAT and commissioning of control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA).
• Select instruments and control valves; ensure BAS/EMS alignment.
• Ensure compliance with pharma regulatory requirements including 21 CFR Part 11.

Job description

Your impact

• Candidate must have strong experience on design of pharmaceutical / Life Science /Biotech facility / Specialty Chemical/Chemical Projects in terms of Instrument & Automation design.
• Should perform detailed Instrument engineering activities for industrial projects like FMCG and chemical industries covering DCS, PLC, SCADA and foundation field bus, various types of layouts, procurement activity for instrument items covering preparation of enquiry specification, review of quotes and preparation of TR, preparation of order specifications, review of vendor drawings, review of instrument content for mechanical packages.
• Exposure / experience on DCS, PLC, SCADA based control system including FAT, SAT and commissioning of control system used in above mentioned industries.
• Selection of Instruments and control valves.
• Good knowledge in terms of selection of Building Automation System (BAS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Sound knowledge of engineering code and standard,
• Sound knowledge of pharma regulatory requirement including 21 CFR, Part 11
• Sound knowledge of engineering code and standard,
• Proficient in Smart Plant Instrumentation
