Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a senior Geotechnical Design Engineer with 12–15 years of experience to lead and deliver complex geotechnical solutions for metro and railway projects. The role requires strong leadership, advanced analytical skills, and proficiency in Plaxis, RS-2, and Slide.

On-site work across major Indian projects with global exposure. The incumbent will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and ensure compliance with safety and ISO standards while contributing

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and ME/M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 12–15 years’ geotechnical design experience.
• Strong analytical and design skills for foundations, Underground Metro stations and Tunnel.
• Proficient in geotechnical design software (Plaxis, RS-2, Slide).
• Effective leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design activities for various Indian and international infrastructure projects, including underground and elevated metro rail and railway structures.
• Manage and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers, ensuring high technical quality and timely project delivery.
• Understand project requirements, client expectations, and contribute to project schedule and budget planning.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients, including participation in meetings and site visits as required.
• Conduct research and site investigations to develop a thorough understanding of ground conditions at project sites.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical designs and technical reports, utilizing advanced and innovative geotechnical solutions for value engineering.
• Ensure all work complies with SYSTRA Group policies on ethics, safety, and company ISO standards.
