Job summary

AtkinsRéalis India seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for water and wastewater treatment projects, including MV/LV distribution, grounding, and lighting design.

You will apply BS/NEC/IEC standards, produce option reports, data sheets and calculations, and coordinate with mechanical, civil and structural teams and clients.

Strong communication and leadership to guide a team and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for water/wastewater plants and pumping stations.
• Strong ability to deliver design documentation and calculations to international standards.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design for MV & LV distribution, grounding, lighting, cable management and protection.
• Prepare design documents, option reports, data sheets, calculations and specifications.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil and architectural disciplines and lead client liaison.
• Review electrical drawings and ensure project delivery within time, cost and quality.
• Demonstrate leadership to develop engineers and foster teamwork.

Your Role

Roles & Responsibilities

• A sound understanding of electrical engineering principles and their application in Water, Wastewater Treatment plant and pumping stations.
• Experience in the production of design documentations including optioneering reports, data sheets, calculations, and specifications of electrical equipment.
• Undertake Electrical design to local and international standards, preferably for UK region.
• Understand and apply BS/NEC/NFPA/IEC/International standards.
• Undertake design of a variety of electrical design elements i.e., MV & LV Distribution, Grounding, Lighting design (internal and external), Cable management, Sizing, Fire Alarm Protection & Detection system.
• Electrical Equipment calculations, Cable and cable tray sizing calculations, grounding calculation, lighting calculation (using Dialux EVO, AGI32), Lightening assessment etc.
• A competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Electrical design tools e.g., AMTECH, ETAP, SKM. Dialux Evo, AGI32, Specsizer etc
• Liaison with clients (Lead Project Offices), developing and maintaining relationships.
• Responsible for completion of projects within his/her team to time, cost and quality.
• Should be able to present design solutions to the client requirement.
• Check/review electrical drawings and designs deliverables.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and improve inter-discipline working with other disciplines such as Mechanical, Architecture, Civil and Structural.
• Should have knowledge of 3D Models for check review of Navis works.
• Demonstrate ability to cultivate and lead a cohesive team, fostering individual growth and collaboration withing the organization framework.

About You

Qualifications & Skills

• Master/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering;
• Previous electrical engineering or design role experience within consultancy.
• Relevant and appropriate experience of more than 14+ years in Water & Wastewater Treatment plant and Pumping stations.
• Experience of working in Multi-D'environment and good understanding of co-ordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Able to independently deliver work and integrate with larger project teams.
• Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential.
• Positive and enthusiastic, a confident communicator at all levels, and a collaborator.
• Resilient, can work under pressure, doesn't show frustration, and lose composure when facing resistance.

Mandatory Requirements

• Relevant and appropriate experience within Water, wastewater treatment plant and pumping station.
• Competent designer UK, International codes and standards.
• Knowledge of tools such as AMTECH, DIALUX EVO etc.
• Review model using Navis tool.
• Should have working knowledge of common data environment (CDE) like BIM360, ProjectWise etc.
• Manage quality of deliverables of yours as well as the team members.
• Maintains harmony and a productive atmosphere by being open about the work activities and project status.
• An effective communicator both written and verbal.
• People manager and should be able to develop electrical engineers.
