Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced OT cybersecurity specialist to design and implement security solutions for gas power control systems. You will collaborate with global NPI teams, product line leaders and engineers to translate customer needs into secure, scalable architectures.

You will guide test plans, deploy new technologies, document lifecycle procedures, and train teams across regions while addressing rigorous security requirements without compromising safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Electronics, Computer or related Engineering field.
• 6+ years of experience in control server/network design.
• Hands-on security knowledge for on-premises and cloud applications.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and influencing abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive OT cybersecurity strategies for gas power control solutions.
• Collaborate with product lines to capture customer cyber requirements for NPI teams.
• Develop test plans with leaders, architects and engineers for cyber strategies.
• Drive deployment of new technologies and lifecycle tools for sizing, installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades.
• Serve as technical point of contact for project teams on OT cybersecurity.
• Document standard procedures for cybersecurity service lifecycles.
• Evaluate and implement virtualization technologies.
• Advance security tech including firewalls, IDS, endpoint protection within control systems.
• Coordinate with global teams on new cyber service releases and support field personnel.

• Product development and deployment of new technologies and architecture by designing, implementation, and testing of OT cybersecurity solutions for new unit and services.
• Address rigorous security requirements while maintaining the safety, availability, and reliability of physical assets.
• Mentoring a team of engineers in control server networks and cybersecurity.

The position requires working with a global, cross-functional team to enhance platforms for power generation applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity solutions for gas power control and driving the deployment of new technologies. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with product line leaders to capture and translate customer cybersecurity requirements for the NPI teams.
• Work with technical leaders, system architects, and principal engineers to develop test plans for product cybersecurity strategies and product development.
• Drive the product development and deployment of new technologies and lifecycle tools for application sizing, installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Be the point of contact for project teams for technical questions and guidance on OT cyber security.
• Document standard procedures for product lifecycle stages related to cybersecurity services.
• Evaluate and implement virtualization technologies.
• Drive security technologies, including firewall, IDS, endpoint security solutions etc within the control system.
• Train and coordinate with global teams on new cybersecurity service releases.
• Support field personnel in resolving technical issues and coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, and services.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master or above in Electronics Engineering/Computer engineering/software engineering/controls-instrumentation engineering Industrial Automation or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in Control sever/network design
• Hands on experience of Network, Compute, Data, Storage and Application security principles for on-premises/cloud applications
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to influence.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Effective problem identification and solution skills

Desired Characteristics

• Experience Knowledge of NERC/CIP, IEC 62443 standards
• Ability to coordinate several programs simultaneously
• Proven team player with solid cooperation, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to learn complex information quickly
• Good oral and written communication skills
