Job summary

Persistent is seeking an experienced ICD-ICM Billing Lead Engineer to join our Insurance practice. You will design, develop, and deliver high-quality solutions in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience with ICD-ICM Billing and Java technologies, plus strong REST/SOAP web services knowledge. You will lead technical teams, drive architecture decisions, and mentor JB4 developers in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Strong experience working on ICD-ICM Billing or Distribution Management solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Java technologies.
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, REST and SOAP Web Services.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and modern web standards.
• Experience with source control and build management tools such as SVN.

• Understand domain/client requirements and develop quality software using software engineering principles and best practices.
• Create scalable and reusable designs using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology.
• Drive discussions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Analyze and resolve issues during testing and production support phases.
• Estimate development effort and ensure timely execution of assigned tasks.
• Develop APIs and interfaces for enterprise applications.
• Support application deployment using CI/CD practices.
• Mentor and guide development teams for JB4 roles.

• Prior knowledge of Billing platforms such as Duck Creek or Guidewire is preferred.
• Exposure to North American Life & Annuity products is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe development practices
