The Role

Presidio is looking for a Lead Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to design, develop, and implement applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and development of solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience with back-end development, basic microservices implementation, and containerization using Docker
• Expertise in relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, Oracle
• Expertise in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB, Cassandra
• Good knowledge of cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Role Description:

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear explanations
• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications and standards
• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
• Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
• Protect operations by keeping information secure
• Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues; accomplish engineering and organizational objectives by completing related results as needed
• Support and develop software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities
