Job summary

Sattva is seeking an experienced Education Strategy Leader to shape the practice's agenda and drive high-impact programs across foundations, non-profits and CSR. The role involves guiding flagship education initiatives, collaborating with government and multilateral partners, and ensuring successful delivery through strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will have 15+ years in education, deep public-system experience, and a background in consulting or with ecosystem institutions.

Responsibilities

• Shape the Education practice’s strategic agenda and identify key priority areas within education.
• Support business teams across foundations, non‑profits and CSR in closing strategic education deals.
• Complement team expertise with cross‑cutting understanding of early childhood, primary, secondary, life‑skills and socio‑emotional learning to ensure effective project delivery.
• Provide strategic guidance to donors and partners in designing flagship education initiatives and program design.
• Anchor practice work with public education systems, leveraging experience with state education systems for performance management and adaptive strategy.
• Build and deepen relationships with senior influencers and decision‑makers across foundations, philanthropic funders, multilateral institutions, and central and state government stakeholders.
• Represent the practice at national and global forums, conferences, and research bodies to raise strategic visibility.
• Conceptualise and lead flagship summits and convenings that bring together senior leaders from government, philanthropy, civil society and academia.
• Build, mentor and manage a high‑performing team to deliver practice priorities and project commitments.
• Develop, manage and grow client relationships, taking overall accountability for client success.
• Ensure strong project management, financial oversight and profitability across the practice’s portfolio of engagements.
