About the Role

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's DevOps strategy. You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring solutions, and cloud-based deployments. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, collaborating across teams, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• DevOps Strategy and Leadership:
• Define and drive DevOps practices across the organization.
• Lead automation efforts for build, release, and infrastructure management.
• Advocate for DevOps best practices, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and delivery.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment of microservices and applications.
• Ensure pipelines are scalable and support multiple environments (dev, test, prod).
• Cloud and Infrastructure Management:
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Monitoring and Observability:
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Set up proactive alerting and reporting for system health and performance.
• Security and Compliance:
• Integrate security best practices into the DevOps lifecycle (DevSecOps).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Collaboration and Mentorship:
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Cost Optimization:
• Optimize cloud and operational costs by analyzing resource usage and recommending improvements.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for system failures.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Harness ..etc).
• Experience with code quality, security tools for pipelines and compliance.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm..etc).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and version control (e.g., Git).
• Proven expertise in tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Experience with security tools, WAF ..etc.
• Ability to lead client audits for our products.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
