Job summary

Hero Fincorp is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead DevOps and cloud infrastructure initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will design end-to-end architectures, drive CI/CD, IaC, containerization, and security practices, mentoring engineering teams.

Based in Gurugram, this role offers leadership exposure in a fast-paced fintech environment and opportunities to shape platform reliability and business continuity across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, Cloud Eng, SRE, or similar roles.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficient in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go, and designing microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and cloud-native tech.
• Experience with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Splunk).

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

• Design end-to-end technology solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Define architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud-native applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, security, and business stakeholders to drive architectural decisions.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership across projects.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, resilience, performance, security, and compliance.

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Implement containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish observability practices including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
• Drive platform reliability, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Architect and manage cloud environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Optimize infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and security.
• Design multi-region, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Implement cloud governance, security controls, and compliance standards.

Security & Compliance

• Integrate DevSecOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Implement identity and access management, secrets management, and security automation.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor engineering teams on DevOps and architecture best practices.
• Lead technical discussions and architectural decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology strategy with business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Solution Architecture, or related roles.
• Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience designing distributed, microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced startups or investment banking environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of financial systems, trading platforms, or regulated environments.
• Exposure to multi-cloud architectures.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or Terraform Associate.
