Team Lead (Agile)

StoneX connects clients to markets and offers an opportunity to be part of a financial services network. We are seeking a Team Lead passionate about driving project outcomes and ensuring smooth execution of initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the work of a cross‑functional Agile team, maintain a balanced team structure, and inspire others by example.
• Set clear priorities and ensure deliverables are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead by example; mentor, guide, and inspire a team of engineers and QA.
• Manage a team of IT specialists (developers and QA engineers).
• Act as a people manager—support personal growth, career development, and motivation of team members.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Managers, BAs, and other leaders to define roadmaps and set priorities.
• Oversee delivery management of assigned projects.
• Proactively solve cross‑team dependencies through effective communication and collaboration.
• Drive agile practices; ensure successful sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
• Support backlog management with lead engineers and product team.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the team’s daily work.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members; build a well‑balanced team with the right mix of skills.
• Maintain team competence through ongoing training and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Hands‑on experience designing and building APIs; experience delivering API‑driven solutions is a strong plus.
• Strong delivery focus; able to track and resolve dependencies, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and on time.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills; takes ownership and proactively drives improvements.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and MS Excel (Power BI a plus).
• Clear and confident communication; builds trust and authority through actions and examples.
• Bonus: Basic programming knowledge and/or experience with financial products or payment systems.
