Job summary

Space Matrix is seeking a talented Lead Designer - Workplace to join our design studio. You will design Corporate/Workplace interiors, lead client presentations, and oversee design management and coordination across project phases.

You will strategize design solutions, manage multiple projects, and collaborate closely with the design team to ensure quality, budget adherence, and schedule fidelity. This senior role requires strong leadership, client-facing skills, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial interior / corporate interiors.
• Strong design sensibility and ability to develop from concept to execution.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Multi-tasking with time management and organizational skills.
• Registered Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a talented Lead Designer - Workplace. You will be part of our design studio designing Corporate / Workplace Interior projects. Working closely with the design team, you will be responsible for developing design concepts for corporate interior projects and leading client presentations/pitches as well as design management and coordination for projects

What you’ll do:

• You will be responsible for working on strategizing design solutions to fit assigned programs and budgets.
• You will work on multiple projects and provide pre-design services which may include conducting feasibility studies or specifying the requirements the design must meet.
• You will work closely with the design team and manage the development of design successfully from one phase to the next, without compromise to quality, budget, or schedule.
• You will lead and participate in project meetings and Client presentations as needed & working closely with the team, you will be responsible for design management and coordination with project stakeholders as needed.
• You will provide quality control and review design documentation and schedule project team deliverables.
• You will attend Client work-sessions and design reviews as required.
• You will travel for assigned project presentations, coordination meetings and site visits as required.
