Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Bengaluru office seeks Highways BIM Designers to support delivery of complex civil engineering and multidisciplinary designs across major projects.

Join a multi-disciplinary team, develop 3D highway models, 2D drawings, schedules, and take ownership of project deliverables while adhering to CDE workflows and company standards. Proficiency in Civil3D and MicroStation is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering required.
• 5–9 years of industry experience in highways domain preferred.
• Advanced/Expert user in Civil3D and MicroStation required.
• Experience with CDE systems: ProjectWise and BIM360 essential.
• Strong IT literacy and proficiency in MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Extract information from 3D models to create 2D drawings, schedules, quantities and deliverables.
• Produce Highways 3D models and 2D drawings; perform self-assurance of deliverables.
• Develop highway design and analysis for assets within the highways discipline.
• Work within project CDE and coordinate with staff to deliver project outputs.
• Provide quality control for compliance with standards and procedures.
• Mentor staff on models and drawing extractions; maintain BIM tool competency.

Your role

Responsibilities

• Extract information directly from the 3D model and create 2D drawings, schedules, setting out, quantities and other deliverables.
• Produce all types of Highways discipline 3D models, 2D Drawings, schedules, and other deliverables. Perform self-assurance of all Highways discipline drawing and model deliverables.
• Originate and assist in development of Highways design and analysis for all assets of the Highways discipline.
• Work within the Highways Team Common Data Environment (CDE) of the project, and collaborated with project staff to setup, progress, and complete project deliverables, by advancing the same through technical workflow.
• Provide quality control for compliance to company/project standards of deliverables.
• Provide over the shoulder support for staff developing models and 2D drawing extractions.
• Maintain a high level of competency of all BIM software tools used at AtkinsRealis.

About you

Required skills and experience

A Diploma or Bachelor's degree holder (Preferably in Civil Engineering) with a minimum 5 to 9 years of industry experience preferably in the Highways domain.

Experience of preparation and detailing of all types of highway engineering drawings and standard details.

• Must be an advanced user or expert user in Autodesk Civil3D and MicroStation.
• Must be able to create, manage and manipulate Project Civil3D templates through bespoke Civil3D styles to derive various alignment and corridor information, annotation, and reporting. Hands on experience to derive and extract drawing deliverables, schedules, quantity take off and analysis results.
• Technical proficiency in the use of the latest common CDE systems: Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360. Understanding and experience of handling Civil3D Data Shortcuts within the CDE Environment is a must.
• Highly IT literate, excellent command of standard Microsoft office software, knowledge of IT infrastructure and hardware. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
