Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Roads BIM Technician to deliver BIM-based design and detailing for highways and road infrastructure across ME/UK/India projects. The role focuses on 3D modelling in Civil 3D and 2D drafting in AutoCAD, ensuring BEP compliance and high-quality deliverables.

The candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage model integrity, and maintain CDE-aligned project files, while applying international standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience as a BIM Technician in Highways & Roads projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (corridors, assemblies, surfaces, alignments, pipe networks).
• Advanced AutoCAD drafting for highways and infrastructure; BIM outputs for ME/UK/India projects; knowledge of PAS 1192 / ISO 19650 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D models for highways using Civil 3D.
• Produce 2D drawings, profiles, cross-sections, and corridor models using Civil 3D/AutoCAD.
• Support BIM workflows per BEP and modelling standards.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Roads BIM Technician with strong exposure to Middle East (ME), UK, and Indian infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, with a solid background in delivering BIM-based design and detailing for highways and road infrastructure projects. This role supports engineers and designers in producing accurate 3D models, drawings, and documentation aligned with global standards

Your role

• Develop and manage 3D models for highways and road projects using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Produce 2D drawings, profiles, cross-sections, corridor models, and associated detailing using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Support BIM workflows, adhering to project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and modelling standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ME/UK/India project environments.
• Ensure quality of models and drawings, following applicable local and international design standards.
• Coordinate model data, resolve clashes, and maintain model integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organized project files in compliance with CDE (Common Data Environment) requirements.

About you

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience as a BIM Technician in Highways & Roads projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (corridors, assemblies, surfaces, alignments, pipe networks).
• Advance-level knowledge of AutoCAD drafting for highways and infrastructure.
• Experience delivering BIM outputs for ME (Qatar, UAE, Saudi), UK (DMRB), and Indian (IRC) projects is essential.
• Understanding of BIM standards such as PAS 1192 / ISO 19650 (added advantage).
• Ability to interpret design inputs, engineering sketches, and survey data.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in global delivery teams.
• Preferred Qualifications
• ITI, Diploma / Bachelor's'in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Certification in BIM tools or Autodesk software (desirable).
• Familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection (plus).
