AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Highway BIM Designer based in Bengaluru. The role focuses on extracting data from 3D models to generate 2D drawings, schedules and quantities for complex highway projects.

You will produce 3D models, 2D drawings and related deliverables, while performing quality control to meet project standards. The position requires Civil Engineering education and extensive BIM software proficiency, within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–9 years of highway design experience.
• Advanced user of Autodesk Civil3D and MicroStation.
• Experience in creating and managing Civil3D templates to derive alignments and corridors.
• Proficient with Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360 in a CDE.
• Strong IT literacy with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Extract information from 3D models and create 2D drawings, schedules and quantities.
• Produce high-quality highways 3D models and 2D drawings and deliverables.
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist development of highway design and analysis for assets.
• Collaborate within the project’s Common Data Environment (CDE).

Our portfolio of work continues to grow, and we will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to apply knowledge, experience, and problem-solving skills.## Your role*Responsibilities** Extract information directly from the 3D model and create 2D drawings, schedules, setting out, quantities and other deliverables.* Produce all types of Highways discipline 3D models, 2D Drawings, schedules, and other deliverables. Perform self-assurance of all Highways discipline drawing and model deliverables.* Originate and assist in development of Highways design and analysis for all assets of the Highways discipline.* Work within the Highways Team Common Data Environment (CDE) of the project, and collaborated with project staff to setup, progress, and complete project deliverables, by advancing the same through technical workflow.* Provide quality control for compliance to company/project standards of deliverables.* Provide over the shoulder support for staff developing models and 2D drawing extractions.* Maintain a high level of competency of all BIM software tools used at AtkinsRealis.*Required attributes** Excellent time management skills.* Excellent written and spoken English communication within a business environment.* High performing ability to work and integrate into multi-disciplinary teams and work independently.* Energetic and enthusiastic, with the desire to take on extra responsibilities.* Drive and passion towards BIM and constantly upskilling team and oneself.* Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers* Ability to exercise initiative, take ownership of project issues and ensure suitable resolution to the satisfaction of the client.* You will demonstrate a high level of commitment, flexibility and be eager to accept responsibility and learn new skills, whilst always exercising an active interest in helping to solve technical problems faced by any member of the team.* You will act with integrity and professionalism, gaining the trust of colleagues and setting an example to junior staff.## About you*Required skills and experience** A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree holder (Preferably in Civil Engineering) with a minimum 5 to 9 years of industry experience preferably in the Highways domain.* Experience of preparation and detailing of all types of highway engineering drawings and standard details.* Must be an advanced user or expert user in Autodesk Civil3D and MicroStation.* Must be able to create, manage and manipulate Project Civil3D templates through bespoke Civil3D styles to derive various alignment and corridor information, annotation, and reporting. Hands on experience to derive and extract drawing deliverables, schedules, quantity take off and analysis results.* Technical proficiency in the use of the latest common CDE systems: Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360. Understanding and experience of handling Civil3D Data Shortcuts within the CDE Environment is a must.* Highly IT literate, excellent command of standard Microsoft office software, knowledge of IT infrastructure and hardware.
