Job summary

Ramboll seeks a Lead Designer-BIM at its Gurgaon center, part of a global engineering group delivering bridges, underground metro, port and marine projects. You will create 2D drawings and 3D models, ensure technical accuracy, and coordinate with engineers and the drafting team.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Tekla is essential; Rhino/Grasshopper and Revit are desirable. Ideal candidate has 8–14 years’ experience, a Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering, and work experience on international projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI with 8–14 years of experience; B.Tech. preferred.
• Experience in bridge work, GA drawings, and 2D/3D modelling is mandatory.
• Knowledge of steel and concrete detailing standards required.
• Experience with parametric 3D modelling using Rhino/Grasshopper highly desirable.
• Swedish/European standards experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings and 3D models for bridges and metro/port projects.
• Ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery of drawings and documents.
• Coordinate with drafting/modelling team and engineers.
• Apply AutoCAD & Tekla proficiency; familiarity with Rhino/Grasshopper and Revit preferred.
• Support input from project managers and adhere to codes and standards.

Job Description

As our new Lead Designer-BIM, you will be part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design center owned by an independent
trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon.
Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design
by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Create, work on 2D drawings and 3D models for bridge, underground metro stations, port & marine projects, co-ordinate with other team members of the drafting/modelling team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Is responsible for technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings, 3D models and documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Tekla is a must. Knowledge in Rhino/grasshopper, MicroStation and Revit is desirable.
• Hands on experience with bridge drawings, quantity estimation etc.
• Will coordinate with technical manager or concerned engineers for input of drafting work in each project.
• Conversance with Euro code, Swedish drawing standards will be an add-on.
• Exercises self-discipline and work ethic, respect and follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with 8-14 years of professional experience. Candidate with B.Tech. will have the edge over others.
• Experience in bridge work, preparing general arrangement, reinforcement drawings, and reinforcement detailing, 2D and 3D modelling is mandatory.
• Should have knowledge of steel and concrete detailing standards.
• Must have experience in parametric 3D modelling and automation using Rhino/Grasshopper
• Must have experience on international project, Swedish experience is an advantage. 3D reinforcement modelling skills will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines can be relied on to meet deadlines.
• Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role includes: Strong knowledge of AutoCAD & Tekla and good level of written and spoken English.
