Job summary

Arabelle Solutions seeks a Lead Engineer to support nuclear business projects with specialist materials knowledge across the full product range. You will be part of a team, providing direct specialist support while maintaining conformity to design intent, codes, standards and quality.

Key duties include material selection, specifications development, review of manufacturing methods, and liaison with supplier quality engineers to ensure supplier qualification and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in selecting materials for equipment design.

Job description

The Lead Engineer, will support nuclear business projects with specialist materials knowledge across the whole range of products and services. He/she will be part of a team and will provide direct specialist support, in a context of increased complexity of projects and fast changes while maintaining conformity to design intent, codes, standards and quality.

Main Duties

• Support material selection appropriate to equipment design and function.
• Support the maintenance and development of specifications for material and material processing within the context of any applied codes and standards, e.g. Pressure Equipment Directive.
• Execute and support the review of manufacturing methods for production of castings, forgings, fabrications and finishing processes across the full scope of products for the nuclear business.
• Liaise with Supplier Quality Engineers and support with supplier qualification where appropriate.
• Review and respond to supplier derogation requests and non-conformance reports.
• Support internal manufacturing activities.
