Job summary

Arabelle Solutions is seeking a Supplier Development and Maturity Engineer to elevate supplier performance, quality, and nuclear safety standards across our industrial partners. The role focuses on robust QMS adoption and Lean transformation, coordinating with global teams to secure critical projects.

You will audit supplier maturity, develop high-impact action plans, and ensure effective implementation while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality, audits or supplier development, preferably in regulated industries.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Engineering degree or equivalent; strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and nuclear safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and validate global supplier selection strategy with sourcing teams.
• Prepare, plan and conduct assessment audits at supplier sites (ISO 9001, ISO 19443).
• Evaluate supplier organizational structure to meet nuclear requirements and assess safety culture.
• Identify and mitigate gaps, weak signals and risks affecting quality or safety.
• Deliver structured, actionable reports and coordinate with internal experts.
• Develop pragmatic supplier development plans with actions, deadlines and KPIs.
• Drive maturity improvement through Lean coaching and follow-up.
• Promote best practices while respecting confidentiality.
• Develop supplier qualification standards and development programs leveraging EDF synergies.

Job Description

The Supplier Development and Maturity Engineer plays a key and highly strategic role in improving the maturity of Arabelle Solutions' suppliers. The mission is to sustainably elevate performance, quality, and nuclear safety standards of industrial partners to secure critical projects in a demanding environment.

This role focuses on the structural development of suppliers, addressing the core elements that determine supplier reliability:

• Excellence of the Quality Management System
• Strengthening of nuclear safety culture and requirements
• Organizational and documentation robustness, including sub-tier supplier
• management
• Continuous improvement capability and risk control

The role is suited for a structured and rigorous engineer with strong quality expertise, mastering the industrial production process from order intake to delivery. With excellent interpersonal skills, the individual acts as a true change driver, supporting suppliers through a Lean approach.

Working closely with internal experts, the Supplier Development Engineer assesses supplier maturity by conducting audits, analyzing organization, and identifying risks and weak signals. Supported by sourcing strategy, he/she develops and leads high-impact development plans (including operational aspects), supports suppliers in transforming their practices, and ensures the effectiveness of implemented actions.

This role directly contributes to supplier panel maturity, nuclear supply chain reliability, and the success of Arabelle Solutions projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to and validate the global supplier selection strategy with sourcing teams
• Prepare, plan, and conduct assessment audits (ISO 9001, ISO 19443, customer requirements, internal standards) at supplier sites
• Evaluate and challenge suppliers' organizational structure and processes to meet nuclear technical and administrative requirements; assess safety culture (organization, supply chain monitoring, competency management, process robustness, documentation control)
• Identify and mitigate gaps, weak signals, and risks affecting quality or safety
• Deliver structured and actionable reports
• Coordinate with internal technical experts for supplier-related actions
• Develop pragmatic and measurable supplier development plans (actions, deadlines, KPIs)
• Drive supplier maturity improvement through Lean coaching, follow-up, and effectiveness assessment
• Promote best practices while respecting confidentiality rules
• Develop and improve supplier qualification, maturity standards, and development programs, leveraging synergies within the EDF Group

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Training or certification in nuclear safety / ISO 19443 is a plus
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality, audits, or supplier development, ideally in regulated industries (nuclear, energy, rail, aerospace)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Strong command of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 required)
• Good understanding of nuclear safety culture
• Expertise in operational excellence in manufacturing
