Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a seasoned Lead for Private Markets Data Operations to own data collection, validation, enrichment, and maintenance across fund managers, funds, and transactions. You will partner with product, technology, and commercial teams to harmonize data and support large-scale migrations and governance.

About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 10 The Team The Private Markets Data Operations Team is responsible for building and maintaining industry-leading private markets datasets covering fund managers, funds, deals, fundraising, performance, investor activity, and market intelligence across private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and other alternative asset classes. As our business continues to expand through strategic acquisitions and platform integrations, the team plays a critical role in consolidating and harmonizing data assets, ensuring clients have access to comprehensive, accurate, and timely private markets intelligence. We leverage advanced analytics, AI-enabled workflows, automation, and operational excellence practices to create differentiated data products that power investment decisions across the global private markets ecosystem.

Responsibilities & Impact

• Lead Private Markets Data Operations: Serve as a subject matter expert across private markets datasets, driving the collection, validation, enrichment, and maintenance of high-quality data covering fund managers, funds, investors, fundraising activity, transactions, and performance-related information. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness while contributing to enhanced product coverage and client value.
• Drive Integration and Data Transformation Initiatives: Play a key role in the integration of With Intelligence data into the broader Private Markets platform. Partner with Data Management, Product, and Technology teams to harmonize datasets, resolve data quality gaps, standardize methodologies, and support large‑scale data migration, validation, and reconciliation efforts.
• Deliver Operational Excellence and Automation: Lead initiatives that improve scalability, efficiency, and data quality through automation, AI‑enabled workflows, SQL, and Lean methodologies. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and establish sustainable controls and performance metrics.
• Lead Strategic Projects and Stakeholder Engagement: Manage complex cross‑functional initiatives from planning through execution while collaborating with global stakeholders across Operations, Product, Technology, and Commercial teams. Ensure timely delivery of business objectives, operational KPIs, and transformational programs.
• Develop Team Capability and Domain Expertise: Mentor and coach team members on private markets concepts, analytical thinking, data quality best practices, and operational excellence. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Support Product Innovation and Governance: Contribute to new data acquisition strategies, product enhancements, and methodology improvements while maintaining strong governance, documentation, compliance, and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

Deep Private Markets expertise is a must‑have, with strong understanding of fund structures, fundraising processes, LP/GP relationships, portfolio company investments, private market transactions, and alternative asset classes including Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Secondaries.

• Proven experience leading data operations, data quality programs, or business‑critical datasets, combined with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross‑functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong technical capabilities, including SQL, data analysis, Generative AI, data visualization, and process automation tools.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable business insights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with leading private markets data providers such as With Intelligence with direct exposure to private markets research and data collection workflows.
• Experience supporting data integration, acquisition onboarding, platform consolidation, reference data management, or large‑scale data transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to AI‑driven data operations, data governance frameworks, and team leadership responsibilities within a financial data organization.
