Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join our collaborative team in delivering AI solutions across applications, from NLP to anomaly detection. You will lead projects, steer data preparation, model evaluation, and production deployment in cross-functional settings.

You will leverage Python and SQL, drive ML Ops, mentor others, and collaborate with global teams on complex data challenges, ensuring scalable, business-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering with focus on Data Science.
• Minimum 1 year in a leadership capacity.
• Strong grasp of statistics, ML, and NLP and their practical uses.
• Hands-on experience building AI solutions: classification, clustering, anomaly detection, NLP.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with production-level coding.
• Experience with ML Ops, model development pipelines, and feature engineering.
