Job summary

Hiresquad Resources is seeking an experienced Lead Data Platform Engineer to own architecture, modernization, and platform reliability. You will guide cloud-first data solutions, mentor senior engineers, and set best practices across the Data Engineering organization.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of data platform engineering experience.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
• Kafka ecosystem, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow/Prefect/Dagster experience.
• Cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, distributed systems.
• Experience designing platforms for large-scale workloads.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica, SSIS preferred.
• Leadership, architecture and stakeholder management.

• Lead complex troubleshooting, incident management, and continuous platform improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10-15+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and software engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience with databases like Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
• Strong experience with Kafka ecosystem, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow/Prefect/Dagster.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and distributed systems.
