Job summary

DAZN Hyderabad invites a seasoned data/analytics engineer to lead the design and governance of semantic data models, build scalable transformations on Snowflake with SQL/dbt, and oversee data delivery pipelines using Airflow.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, Finance, Marketing, and Technology, and champion best practices in CI/CD, testing, and observability across the analytics stack.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data/analytics engineering required.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• Strong SQL, Snowflake, and cloud services experience.
• Experience with dbt for modeling and transformation.
• Experience with Airflow or similar orchestrators.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling, ELT, and data governance.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership and stakeholder management.

• Architect scalable data transformations on Snowflake using SQL/dbt and best practices in data warehousing.

• Define and drive best practices in version control, testing, and CI/CD for analytics workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• 10+ years of experience in data/analytics engineering, with 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• Deep expertise in SQL and cloud data warehouses (preferably Snowflake) and Cloud Services(AWS /GCP/AZURE)
• Proven experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow (or similar orchestrators like Prefect, Luigi).
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, ELT best practices, and data governance principles.
• Ability to balance hands-on development with leadership and stakeholder management.
• Clear communication skills - you can explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.
