Job summary

Perficient India is seeking a Lead Data Engineer (Snowflake+DBT) to design and implement scalable data pipelines across multiple client projects. You will work in a hybrid setup with 3 days in office in India locations like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune or Nagpur and lead data warehousing initiatives using Snowflake and dbt.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in data engineering, expertise in Snowflake, dbt Core/Cloud, SQL performance tuning, and strong client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics.
• 6+ years of hands‑on experience with Snowflake.
• 4+ years of strong experience with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud.
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on data engineering to design, build and optimize data pipelines.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Implement and maintain data models following dimensional modeling principles.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics.
• 6+ years of hands‑on experience with Snowflake.
• 4+ years of strong experience with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud.
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning expertise.
• Experience in data modeling techniques including Kimball Dimensional Modeling.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with orchestration and ingestion tools such as Airflow, ADF, Fivetran, Matillion, or Informatica.
• Hands‑on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core/Advanced).
