The role requires 8-12 years of experience, strong SQL, Python, and cloud data platform skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics and AI/ML enablement.
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of experience in Data Analysis, Healthcare Analytics, BI, or Analytics platforms.
- Advanced SQL with performance tuning and data profiling.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms including Azure.
- Strong Python skills for data analysis, validation, automation, and reporting.
- Experience creating STM documentation and enterprise data definitions.
Responsibilities
- Perform data profiling and analysis of healthcare datasets (claims, providers, members, finance).
- Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents for traceability.
- Define data transformations, business rules, and data definitions.
- Identify data quality issues and drive resolution across teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
- Develop and validate SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Work with Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, and Python on large-scale datasets.
- Validate data pipelines and ensure compliance with governance standards.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Analyst with strong expertise in healthcare data analytics, source-to-target mapping, and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving data analysis, business-driven insights, data governance, and analytics enablement across complex healthcare datasets, with a strong focus on claims, provider, member, and financial data.

- Perform detailed data profiling, analysis, and assessment of complex healthcare datasets including claims, providers, members, finance, vision, and dental data.
- Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents to ensure data traceability, consistency, and accuracy across systems.
- Define business rules, data transformations, business glossary terms, and enterprise data definitions.
- Identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, trends, and quality issues and drive resolution activities.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical and technical solutions.
- Manage data intake processes and support onboarding of new datasets and business domains.
- Act as a liaison between business users, SMEs, data engineers, and data scientists for requirements clarification and solution validation.
- Develop and validate complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Work with large-scale datasets using Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, Python, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Validate and support data pipeline outputs delivered by engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and regulatory standards.
- Design and implement validation frameworks, reconciliation controls, and data quality monitoring processes.li>
- Document data lineage, transformation logic, metadata, and business rules.
- Support forecasting, reporting, operational analytics, AI/ML enablement, and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
- 8-12 years of experience in Data Analysis, Healthcare Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Analytics platforms.
- Strong expertise in healthcare domains including Claims, Provider, Member, Vision, Dental, and Financial datasets.
- Advanced SQL expertise including query optimization, data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Strong Python skills for data analysis, validation, automation, and reporting.
- Proven experience creating Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documentation and business mapping artifacts.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT concepts, and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Experience working with Azure cloud services and modern data ecosystems.
- Knowledge of Snowflake and cloud data warehouses is an advantage.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, data validation, business rule implementation, and issue resolution.
- Experience supporting Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
- Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and transform them into actionable business solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
