Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling in Pune, India is seeking a Lead Cost Engineer to drive cost reduction initiatives across engineering and manufacturing. You will mentor a team, build Should-Cost and TCO models, and analyze supplier cost structures to enable fact-based negotiations.

The role requires interpreting drawings and BOMs, supporting Make vs. Buy and NPD programs, and collaborating with global Engineering, Sourcing, Procurement, and Product Development teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cost engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or engineering operations.
• Strong costing, modeling, and supplier cost analysis skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
