Job summary

Cprime in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Lead Consultant – FinOps & Cloudability to lead customer engagements focused on Cloud Financial Management and cloud cost optimization. You will drive Cloudability implementations, advise on governance and budgeting, and mentor teams across FinOps best practices.

The role combines consulting, solution design, and executive reporting, with opportunities to support pre-sales and deliver industry-leading TBM capabilities across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Finance/Engineering or related field.
• 6–10+ years in IT consulting, cloud, or technology financial management with 3+ years hands-on Cloudability.
• Experience with IBM ApptioOne implementations or administration preferred.
• Working knowledge of TBM or related cost-management concepts.
• Strong FinOps understanding and cloud billing/cost management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Cloudability implementation, optimization, and FinOps consulting engagements.
• Conduct discovery workshops to assess cloud environments and FinOps maturity.
• Design and implement Cloudability solutions including reporting and cost allocations.
• Develop dashboards and executive reports for stakeholders.
• Advise on cloud governance, budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback/showback.
• Drive cloud cost optimization including reservations, savings plans, and waste reduction.
• Lead solution architecture and integration with CMDB, ERP, ITSM, and BI tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor consultants on Cloudability configurations.
• Engage with customers as trusted advisor across engineering, finance, procurement and execs.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Consultant – FinOps & Cloudability to lead customer engagements focused on Cloud Financial Management (FinOps), Cloudability implementations, and cloud cost optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud cost management, FinOps best practices, Cloudability, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP) along with working knowledge of Apptio One and TBM. This role combines consulting, solution design, implementation, customer advisory, and technical leadership to help organizations maximize the business value of their cloud investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Cloudability implementation, optimization, and FinOps consulting engagements.
• Conduct discovery workshops to assess cloud environments, business requirements, and FinOps maturity.
• Design and implement Cloudability solutions, including billing integrations, business mappings, tagging, cost allocations, and reporting.
• Develop cloud cost models, dashboards, executive reports, and actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Advise customers on cloud governance, budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and FinOps operating models.
• Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, commitment management, and waste reduction.
• Lead solution architecture, implementation, troubleshooting, and integration with enterprise platforms such as CMDB, ERP, ITSM, and BI tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor consultants on Cloudability configurations, best practices, and reusable implementation assets.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, collaborating with engineering, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Present project status, optimization opportunities, and strategic recommendations to business and technology leadership.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, RFP responses, solution design, and effort estimation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of FinOps consulting methodologies, delivery accelerators, and practice assets.
• Stay current with FinOps Foundation standards, cloud pricing models, and Cloudability product capabilities to deliver industry-leading solutions.
• Lead or support IBM ApptioOne implementations, including Cost Transparency, budgeting, planning, service costing, and integration with Cloudability to provide end-to-end Technology Business Management (TBM) and FinOps capabilities.
• Design and implement integrated FinOps and TBM solutions by connecting Cloudability with ApptioOne to support cost transparency, cloud cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting.
• Configure and maintain data integrations between Cloudability and ApptioOne, ensuring accurate financial data flow, business mappings, and reporting consistency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 6–10+ years of IT consulting, cloud, or technology financial management experience with 3+ years of hands‑on experience implementing and administering Cloudability.
• Experience with IBM ApptioOne implementations or administration is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Technology Business Management (TBM) principles and their integration with FinOps practices.
• Strong understanding of FinOps principles and Cloud Financial Management.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud billing and cost management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent customer‑facing communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading customer workshops and implementation projects.
