Job summary

Welspun Transformation Services Limited, the shared services arm of Welspun, is seeking a Lead - Compensation & Benefits to design and govern the Total Rewards strategy across GCC. You will lead annual compensation planning, governance, job architecture, market benchmarking, and analytics. Collaborating with Group HR COE, HR Finance and business leaders, you will drive data-driven decisions using Power BI and HRIS to shape pay-for-performance and LTIP programs.

Qualifications

  • 10–14 years of relevant experience in compensation and benefits within Shared Services or similar industries.
  • MBA in HR or Finance with specialization in HR/Finance.
  • Proficient English and Hindi language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, governance and execution of Total Rewards strategy and job architecture.
  • Drive annual compensation planning, merit budgeting and executive compensation analysis.
  • Govern compensation policies, pay ranges and governance frameworks; ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Partner with Group HR COE, HR Finance and business leaders to develop budgets and reward investments.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics using Power BI/HRIS to inform leadership decisions.

Job Purpose/ Summary

The Compensation & Benefits Lead will lead the design, governance, and execution of Welspun GCC's Total Rewards strategy, ensuring compensation programs are competitive, equitable, performance-driven, and aligned with business objectives.

Job Description

The role will be responsible for driving compensation strategy, annual compensation planning, performance-linked rewards, compensation governance, job architecture, and market benchmarking while partnering closely with the Group HR COE to ensure enterprise-wide alignment. The incumbent will leverage compensation analytics, workforce insights, and digital reporting to enable data-driven decision-making and continuously strengthen the organization's Total Rewards framework.

Responsibility
  • Design implement and continuously enhance the organizations Total Rewards strategy aligned with business objectives and Group HR COE guidelines
  • Develop and govern compensation philosophy salary structures pay ranges compensation policies and governance frameworks
  • Ensure compensation programs are externally competitive internally equitable financially sustainable and aligned with business priorities
  • Drive compensation governance for promotions transfers new hires internal movements compensation exceptions and salary approvals
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations audit requirements and internal compensation governance standards
  • Lead the endtoend Annual Compensation Review process including merit planning budgeting salary increase recommendations variable pay planning and executive compensation analysis
  • Partner with HR Finance and Business Leaders to develop annual compensation budgets and optimize reward investments
  • Manage offcycle compensation reviews retention adjustments market corrections promotion increases and critical talent interventions
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on compensation investments affordability and market competitiveness
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to strengthen the payforperformance philosophy across the organization
  • Design review and administer variable pay programs productivitylinked incentive plans retention programs project incentives and other performancebased reward initiatives
  • Partner with the Performance Management function to ensure reward outcomes are aligned with organizational and individual performance
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compensation and incentive programs through measurable business and workforce outcomes
  • Lead compensation benchmarking using leading market surveys and external data sources
  • Conduct market pricing compensation modelling pay positioning and internal equity reviews
  • Monitor compensation trends emerging reward practices and industry benchmarks to recommend improvements to Total Rewards programs
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop competitive compensation strategies for hiring critical talent
  • Design and maintain the organizations Job Architecture including Job Families Job Levels Job Hierarchy Career Frameworks and Role Mapping
  • Lead job evaluation exercises and ensure consistent role grading across the organization
  • Develop and maintain standardized job descriptions in collaboration with business leaders and HR Business Partners
  • Support organizational restructuring workforce transformation and organization design initiatives through effective compensation governance
  • Support the design implementation and governance of ESOPs LongTerm Incentive Plans LTIPs and other strategic reward programs
  • Develop reward strategies that strengthen attraction engagement retention and longterm value creation
  • Design and continuously enhance employee benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and employee value
  • Partner with external consultants insurers and benefits providers to optimize benefit offerings employee experience and cost effectiveness
  • Periodically review benefit utilization cost trends and employee feedback to recommend improvements
  • Lead Compensation Analytics and Workforce Analytics to support strategic business and people decisions
  • Develop executive dashboards using Power BI advanced Excel and HR Analytics tools to provide realtime insights into compensation and workforce metrics
  • Analyze compensation costs merit spend salary competitiveness comparatios pay mix salary compression pay inversion internal equity and reward effectiveness
  • Build predictive models and scenario analyses for annual compensation planning workforce planning hiring budgets and retention investments
  • Monitor key metrics including compensation competitiveness productivity incentives attrition offer acceptance pay equity reward ROI and workforce productivity
  • Translate complex workforce and compensation data into meaningful insights executive presentations and strategic recommendations for leadership and Group HR COE
  • Drive automation and digitization of compensation reporting through HR systems dashboards and selfservice analytics
  • Partner closely with Group HR COE to ensure alignment with enterprisewide reward philosophy policies and governance
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners Talent Acquisition Payroll Finance Business Leaders and senior leadership on compensation decisions and workforce planning
  • Provide expert guidance on compensation strategy organization design promotions career progression and retention strategies
  • Continuously review compensation frameworks policies and reward programs to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and market practices
  • Identify opportunities to simplify automate and enhance compensation processes through technology and analytics
  • Lead strategic Total Rewards projects and support organizational transformation initiatives
