Simplify Group is seeking a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to own the cloud platform for a given entity (Simplify Healthcare, SimplifyX, or Simplify Alpha). You will design cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, reliability engineering, and security posture, reporting to the Manager - Platform Engineering IT.
You will mentor junior engineers, set standards, and partner with development teams to reduce delivery friction and build scalable platforms for SaaS environments, with HIPAA/SOC 2/HITRUST
Simplify Group (The Most Group Inc.) is a high-growth healthcare technology organisation operating three entities: Simplify Healthcare - a leading healthcare payer SaaS platform serving large US health plans; SimplifyX™ - an AI-powered clinical automation and innovation product; and Simplify Alpha - a clinical intelligence and analytics platform. Major clients include UHG/Optum, Kaiser Permanente, BCBSNC, and HMSA. The Group runs entirely on Microsoft Azure with SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA certifications. In 2026 the Group is building a centralised Group Platform Engineering team - consolidating entity-siloed infrastructure ownership into a unified, expert cloud platform function.
The Lead Cloud Platform Engineer is a senior individual contributor who serves as the primary cloud platform owner for an assigned entity (Simplify Healthcare, SimplifyX™, or Simplify Alpha). Reporting to the Manager - Platform Engineering IT, the role owns cloud infrastructure design, CI/CD pipelines, reliability engineering, cost governance, and security posture for their assigned environment. The role requires both deep technical execution and the ability to lead within a team - setting standards, mentoring junior engineers, and acting as the platform partner to development and product teams. The Lead Cloud Platform Engineer reduces delivery friction, removes back-and-forth between dev and infrastructure, and builds platforms that development teams are proud to deploy on.
