Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking a Sr. Principal/ Principal Engineer in India to lead C&S engineering for EPC projects in oil & gas sectors.

The role emphasizes safe, compliant, reliable engineering design, with responsibility for discipline leadership, coordination across teams, and oversight of soil/topographical studies, foundation analyses, and modular structure design. The position requires 10+ years in EPC/detail design, Civil structural design for modular projects, and proficiency with STAAD Pro

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in EPC/Detail design engineering and steel and cement company in the engineering discipline for execution of projects in various sectors like Oil & Gas
• Must have Civil structural Design and Experience in Modular projects
• Must have worked on tools - STAAD Pro
• Experience in Autocad (Drawing Exp) and 3D Environment (SP3D/Tekla/Navisworks) is preferable

Responsibilities

• Leads & coordinates C&S Engineering for Projects. Has wide discipline knowledge; good coordination with all other Engineering disciplines, engineering sub-contractors, vendors and construction teams.
• Preparation of TRS for soil and topographical studies
• Manage, Coordinate, Validate soil studies / topographical surveys
• Analysis & Design Pile Foundation
• Analysis & Design Soil Supported Foundation
• Analysis & Design of Dynamic Foundations (Compressors, Motors, Fans etc)
• Preparation of Bar Bending Schedule
• Analysis & Design of structure in line with specifications, project requirements
• Modular Steel Structure design including Lifting & Transportation analysis
• Structural steel connection design
• Shop Drawing Control, Supervision & Checking
• Estimation of Construction quantities and Manage quantities during the project
• Participate in subcontracting activities and support site activities during erection
• Material of Construction Specifications, Test Requirement
• Support to material procurement
• RFI management - from Sub-contractor, Shop Drawing Detailer, Construction Site
• Optimize the structure design
• Experience with various codes and standards (Indian, American & European)
• Experience in using STAAD Pro Software
• Anticipation and Identification of risks and opportunities and recommend mitigations during execution
• Effective Communication skills with proactive coordination to manage interdiscipline workflow.
• Ability to identify cost optimization opportunities during project execution.
• Tool proficiency - STAAD Pro, Auto-CAD, MS Office, Smart Plant Review / Navisworks

The Sr. Principal/ Principal Engineer is part of the hierarchical organization, reporting directly to Team Manager as direct discipline superior.

Principal Engineer is having strong ability in technical matters with profound knowledge of applicable Engineering principles and processes with an emphasis on safe, compliant, reliable, efficient and practical solutions required for the engineering design and execution of proposals and projects. Principal engineer acts as the discipline lead engineer for various projects.
