Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Business Analyst - Regulatory Reporting to drive non-financial regulatory reporting initiatives, including EMIR, and deliver consulting expertise across international regulatory frameworks.

You will establish governance structures, form working groups, and capture requirements in BRDs/FRDs for handover to technology and operations teams, ensuring delivery aligns with business needs.

Qualifications

• 10–14 years of IT experience with a strong business analysis foundation.
• Proficient in gathering and documenting requirements, BRDs and FRDs.
• Experience with regulatory reporting for OTC and ETD products.
• Familiarity with US regulatory frameworks (CFTC, SEC) and EMIR/MiFIR/SFTR/EMIR.
• Exposure to APAC/EMEA regulatory frameworks (MAS, ASIC, HKMA, JFSA, MiFIR).

Job description

We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst - Regulatory Reporting to help drive non-financial regulatory reporting initiatives, including EMIR, and deliver consulting expertise centered on root cause analysis, solution design, and stakeholder governance across international regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Create project governance structures and ensure alignment with current delivery frameworks
• Form working groups and management forums as needed
• Perform root cause analysis on reporting issues and propose tactical or strategic fixes
• Capture agreed solutions in formal business requirement documents for stakeholder approval
• Determine requirements for back-reporting affected trade populations when applicable
• Transfer finalized requirements to technology and operations teams for implementation
• Develop solution design documentation alongside operations and engineering teams
• Assist with user acceptance testing prior to production releases
• Confirm that delivered solutions align with business requirements and address the root issue
• Deliver weekly progress metrics to the governance team
• Report on project status and RAID items, including escalation paths, via OpCo and SteerCo forums

Requirements

• 10-14 years of combined IT experience, with a solid foundation in business analysis
• Proficiency in gathering and documenting requirements, including BRDs and FRDs
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience with regulatory reporting for OTC and ETD products
• Familiarity with US regulatory frameworks, such as CFTC and SEC
