Job description

As a Lead Business Analyst (Power BI), you will play a critical role in translating business and product requirements into scalable, high-quality dashboards and insights across Silvermine’s product suite — including eForm2290, eMCS150, eUCR, and Truckopedia.

You will act as the technical and delivery lead for BI initiatives, owning Power BI development standards, mentoring analysts, and ensuring decision-ready insights for product, marketing, and leadership teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys building dashboards while also guiding and elevating the work of other analysts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead end-to-end Power BI dashboard development for Product, Marketing, Business, and Operations.
• Translate business problems into clear reporting requirements, KPIs, and data models.
• Own dashboard quality, performance, and consistency across all Power BI assets.
• Design and maintain scalable data models (fact-dimension / star schema) in collaboration with the Data engineering team.
• Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and reusable templates.
• Mentor Senior Business Analysts, Business Analysts, and Interns on Power BI, DAX, and best practices.
• Conduct dashboard and SQL reviews to ensure accuracy and governance.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Marketing, Customer Support and Finance stakeholders.
• Work with Data Engineering to align on data availability, schema design, and refresh pipelines.
• Support automation of recurring reports and enable self-serve analytics.
• Contribute to KPI frameworks, funnel analysis, attach-rate reporting, and executive dashboards.
• Ensure proper documentation, version control, and metric definitions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 6–8 years of experience in analytics / business intelligence roles and 5+ years of strong hands-on experience with Power BI.
• Advanced expertise in:
• DAX (complex measures, optimization)
• Power Query (M)
• Data modeling and performance tuning
• Strong SQL skills (Redshift / Postgres / Snowflake / SQL Server or similar).
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
• Strong understanding of business KPIs, conversion funnels, and product metrics.
• Exposure to web/product analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Adobe Analytics, or similar).
• Ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS, compliance, fintech, or transactional web products preferred.
