The Impact You’ll Have:
We are hiring a BI Analyst to own the design, build and support of Power BI reporting for business teams across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Credit, Mobility, Connected Vehicle and Warranty. The majority of the work is hands‑on Power BI development on top of data in Google Cloud (BigQuery). You will work directly with business users to understand what they need, model the data properly, and deliver dashboards people actually use.
What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and datasets end to end — requirement gathering, data model, DAX measures, visuals, publishing and support.
- Write and tune SQL in BigQuery to prepare clean, reliable datasets for reporting.
- Design star‑schema data models and reusable, certified datasets so business teams can self‑serve instead of asking for one‑off reports.
- Set up refresh schedules, gateways, workspaces, row‑level security and deployment pipelines; keep report performance and query cost under control.
- Build transformation pipelines in Dataform (or dbt‑style SQL models) and schedule them; use Cloud Run / Cloud Functions for lightweight automation where needed.
- Investigate data issues, trace them back to the source, and put basic data quality checks in place.
- Sit with business stakeholders, translate their questions into metric definitions and specs, and document what you build.
- Replace manual and Excel‑based reporting with automated solutions.
- Support Gen AI / Vertex AI use cases where useful — natural‑language Q&A on datasets, automated summaries, Copilot features in Power BI.
- Review work from junior analysts and help them level up.
What you’ll need:
- 3–7 years of hands‑on BI / reporting experience, with the bulk of it in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modelling, Power BI Service administration)/ similar tools.
- Strong SQL — joins, aggregations, window functions, and the ability to debug a slow query.
- Practical experience with a cloud data warehouse. GCP BigQuery preferred; Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse / Fabric or Redshift equally considered.
- Working knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and at least one transformation or workflow tool — Dataform, dbt, Alteryx, SAS, Dataflow or similar.
- Understanding of dimensional modelling and how to structure data for reporting rather than just extracting it.
- Ability to talk to non‑technical stakeholders, push back sensibly, and explain numbers clearly.
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Business Analytics or any quantitative field.
Future‑Ready Skills (Nice to Have):
- Python (pandas) for data prep or automation.
- Vertex AI, Gen AI / LLM‑assisted analytics, or Power BI Copilot exposure.
- Tableau, Qlik Sense or Looker experience alongside Power BI.
- Git / DevOps, CI‑CD for BI artefacts, Agile ways of working.
- Power Automate / Power Apps for workflow automation.
- Microsoft PL‑300 or Google Professional Data Engineer certification.
- Experience in integrated marketing, digital agency, marketing services, or consulting environments preferred.
