Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Analyst, Repair to manage the end-to-end repair lifecycle of company-owned aircraft components and materials. This role is responsible for ensuring vendor performance, controlling repair costs, maximizing warranty recoveries, and supporting material availability across the fleet. The successful candidate will collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, OEMs, and repair vendors to drive operational efficiency and cost-effective repair solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage aircraft component repairs by reviewing work scopes, monitoring turnaround times, validating invoices, and ensuring vendor compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with repair vendors and maintenance facilities to resolve technical and commercial discrepancies and support timely return-to-service of materials.
- Administer warranty claims by validating component eligibility, investigating removals, and ensuring successful claim resolution.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication, performance reviews, and issue resolution.
- Issue and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for repair and maintenance services to support supplier selection and cost optimization initiatives.
- Review repair work scopes to ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Engineering Orders (EOs), and reliability requirements.
- Coordinate with OEMs, Engineering, Maintenance Planning, and Materials teams to support fleet campaigns, scheduled removals, and maintenance events.
- Manage warranty and reimbursement claims related to unscheduled failures, scheduled removals, supplier commitments, and engineering programs.
- Negotiate settlements with suppliers for repair, labor, and material costs outside standard warranty coverage.
- Maintain knowledge of supplier contracts, warranty provisions, repair processes, nd regulatory requirements.
- Utilize business systems and communication tools to coordinate repair activities and cross-functional projects.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and cost-control programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Repair & Warranty Administration.
Authority
- Authorize material scrapping in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Create, issue, and manage Repair Orders to support repair activities and material disposition.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent aviation industry or military experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in aviation maintenance, repair administration, technical operations, aircraft operations, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or other advanced qualification.
- FAA Certification or equivalent aviation industry certification.
- Experience with Airbus A320 Family aircraft maintenance and repair processes.
- Knowledge of aircraft component repair programs, warranty administration, and supplier contract management.
- Experience in commercial aviation maintenance, materials management, or technical services environments.
