Qualifications

• CA/CPA/MBA/PG in Finance with 6-9 years in Financial Accounting & Reporting (UK GAAP).
• Solid knowledge of regulatory reporting concepts and accounting standards.
• Understanding of Insurance, Solvency II, and closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Partner in setting the team’s strategic direction and assist in operations.
• Own processes, reports, and procedures; SME across cross-functional tasks.
• Review regulatory reporting and insurance accounting; support auditors.
• Collaborate with input providers during close to ensure timely deliverables.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance controls and efficiency.
• Act as escalation point for operational issues.

Job Description

The role requires critical thinking, hands on experience with Regulatory reporting & insurance accountingand capable of working with tight deadlines and manage closure of reporting timelines

Responsibilities

• Partnering in setting the team’s strategic direction and assisting in the overall running of the team’s operations
• Ownership of processes, reports, procedures, or products. Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of cross-function processes
• Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience preferred
• Review and preparation of financial statements for various legal entity and Notes to accounts basis Solvency II & UK GAAP requirements
• Liaison with multiple departments (Input providers) during the close to ensure timely completion of deliverables/Collaborate for special projects
• Support quarterly/annual audits by internal auditors, as well as independent external auditors
• Participate or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests
• Understand & anticipate clients’ business needs/concerns, etc. & proactively resolve the same
• Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhanced controls
• Ensure adequacy of internal controls over statutory reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Act as a point of escalation for any operational issues

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/MBA/Post-Graduate/Graduate in Finance with 6-9 years of experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting (UKGAAP Reporting)
• Knowledge of Regulatory reporting concepts including accounting standards
• Understanding of Insurance, Solvency II principles
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power BI etc.)
• ERP’s such as Oracle, Wdesk etc.

Required Skills

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II reporting. Knowledge of Regulatory reporting, technical accounting principles and regulatory reporting requirements
• Sound knowledge and hands on experience with Advanced Excel and MS Access. Understanding closing and Reporting cycle in F&A Experience of handling client issues/queries
