Job summary

EXL in Kochi (Infopark) is seeking an experienced Lead Assistant Manager – R2R to drive end-to-end Record-to-Report operations in a BPO setting.

This role requires strong accounting knowledge, month-end close, reconciliations, and team leadership, with night-shift work from the Kochi office. You will lead SLAs, collaborate with stakeholders, and push process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Experience in R2R processes in a BPO/Shared Services environment.
• Led month-end close activities and journal entries.
• Strong knowledge of GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end R2R operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor General Ledger activities and financial reporting processes.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Manage stakeholder communication and client escalations.
• Track team performance against SLAs, KPIs, and quality metrics.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Assistant Manager – R2R to manage and drive end-to-end Record-to-Report operations in a BPO environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in general accounting, financial reporting, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and team management. The candidate must be comfortable working in a night-shift environment from our Kochi office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end R2R operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA (preferred).
• 8+ years of overall Finance & Accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a Team Lead/Assistant Manager capacity.
• Mandatory experience in R2R (Record to Report) processes.
• Prior experience in a BPO/Shared Services environment is required.
